Merry Christmas Son
By Janet Wagoner

Merry Christmas my little boy
Father's pride and mother's joy
Lying dreaming in your bed
With visions of toy filled Santa sled

A precious sight with tousled hair
How much we love you son so fair
You came as a gift bundled in blue
With perfect lungs and strong voice too

A smile upon your face to appear
Sleigh bells of Santa and reindeers you hear
Dimples upon your cheek begin to twinkle
Within your perfect face without wrinkle

Tomorrow you will face new adventures bold
As you search for pirate treasures of gold
Gleaming nuggets in a secret chest
Wrapped and ready for your quest.

Christmas Wreaths

Our Christmas wreaths are fat and round,
Made of the woodsy things we found.
We tied brown cones upon the green,
And stuck red berries in between.
Upon the wreath on our front door,
We tied red ribbon from the store.

Thou Whose Birth
Poems for Christmas by A. C. Swinburne

Thou whose birth on earth
Angels sang to men,
While the stars made mirth,
Savior, at thy birth
This day born again.

As this night was bright
With thy cradle-ray,
Very light of light,
Turn the wild world's night
To thy perfect day.

Bid our peace increase
Thou that madest morn,
Bid oppressions cease;
Bid the night be peace
Bid the day be born.

Snow Time
By Mary E. Carpio

The snow is softly falling
onto the frozen earth
Children put on their mittens
mom and dad sit by the hearth

Kids wanna make a snowman
in the fresh fallen snow
Love to their leave footprints
everywhere they go

It snow time, it's snow time
such a joyous time of the year
It the time for having fun
with merry hearts full of cheer.

The Reason
Poem for Christmas By James M. Dunn Jr.

Tiny little heads on tiny little sleds
With snow on Christmas Day
Everything to them world ending
But only if it interrupts their play.

No thoughts of world problems,
Only gliding on the snow
And thoughts of presents opened
Just a few minutes before.

The passion with which they dream
The passion with which they care
A present of divine delivery
Not unlike the Lord Emmanuel.

The Saddest Chicken At Christmas
By Nick Hilton

Left alone to peck the last grain,
From the hard icy ground,
There would be no christmas for him,
Every year it was the same,
He would wait and wait,
Until at last the farmer came out,
To choose the ones who would,
Have a wonderful christmas,
With Quackers and Turkeys Delight,
They will gather round the warm table,
Enjoying the festivities,
While he outside would sit depressed,
And watch the lights,
And hear the laughter,
Through the window,
Ow wher his friends having a good time,
And every year they had such a good time,
That they didn't come back to poor chicken,
And he wished all year,
That next christmas,
He would be choosen for the party,
But every year,
He was not.
