Family Christmas Poems for Kids
Christmas Light By Val Reason
Coloured crystals Sparkling and bright, Shining fir-tree Ribboned in light.
Through wide windows In darkening sky, Star of Christmas Shimmers so high.
On the branches Each glowing light, Mirrors the star Of Christmas night
Mothers Mean Much More on Christmas Day By Nicholas Gordon
Mothers mean much more on Christmas day, Even though they're loved the whole year round. Rich memories lie knee-deep on the ground, Recalling years when gifts unopened lay, Years of Christmases near wild with play, Christmases of dreams unwrapped and crowned, Happiness with wings and joy unbound, Reveling in myths time would betray. In you there lies the spirit of pure giving, Sweetness that finds pleasure in my smile, The gift I can reopen every year. More than my own, I find your heart forgiving, A home where I am welcome all the while, So I can rest assured, for you are near.
The Christmas Pudding Family Verse By Anon Into the basin put the plums, Stir-about, stir-about, stir-about!
Next the good white flour comes, Stir-about, stir-about, stir about!
Sugar and peel and eggs and spice, Stir-about, stir-about, stir-about!
Mix them and fix them and cook them twice, Stir-about, stir-about, stir-about!
Embrace the Night Family poem by Clay Harrison
Embrace this night in Bethlehem, A night like none before, For Heaven touched the earth tonight Through the Christ Child Mary bore.
The Prince of Peace is born tonight In a stable far away As shepherds come to see the sight And Wise Men come to pray.
The King of Kings is fast asleep In a manger filled with hay While angels break the silence deep With songs of Christmas Day.
Love and Joy abound tonight - Light the torch and ring the bell, For the Prince of Peace reigns tonight In sweet Emmanuel!
Embrace the night and feel the glow That comes from Heaven above For Heaven touched the earth below And filled our hearts with love!
Every Day Is Christmas Cute family poem for kids Every day is Christmas When you have the kind of mind, That stores up all the goodness And the sweetness it can find. When you don't need an occassion, To spread a bit of cheer, But just keep on a-giving, Of yourself throughout the year.
Every day is Christmas, With a gaily wrapped surprise, When you've learned To see the friendship, In someone else's eyes. When you try a little harder, And complain a little less, Holding fast to all the fervor Of the faith that you possess.
Every day is Christmas, When you've found that you can be More concerned with words like "you" And less with "I" and "me". When it's fun to do a favor, And to lend a helping a hand, When being understood means less, Than when you understand.
Every day is Christmas, With a beauty deeply cast, When you find it doesn't matter, If you're first or if you're last. When you can face your conscience, And be glad of what you are, Then every day is Christmas, With a stable and a star.
O Come All Ye Faithful Family Carol
O Come All Ye Faithful Joyful and triumphant, O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem. Come and behold Him, Born the King of Angels; O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.
O Sing, choirs of angels, Sing in exultation, Sing all that hear in heaven God's holy word. Give to our Father glory in the Highest; O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.
All Hail! Lord, we greet Thee, Born this happy morning, O Jesus! for evermore be Thy name adored. Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing; O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.
Christmas Magic Family poem By Leslie M. Thompson
Twas the night before Christmas and all thru the flat not a creature was stirring except for the cats They ran and they played and they jumped 'round with glee They played with the ornaments 'til they came off the tree All bright and shiny the ornaments were, now all the ornaments were just one big blur. Then all of the sudden came a crash, bang and boom. Yes... it was Santa and not a moment too soon
So with a wink of his eye and a twitch of his nose... he magically fixed my tree; I suppose.
Now all bright and shiny my Christmas tree is - thanks to the magic of Good Ol' St. Nick.
The kitties were bad but oh well I say - Geez after all... it is Christmas day. Great selection of Family Christmas Poems!
