Funny Christmas Poems for ChildrenLast night I had a lovely dream, But strange as it could be, For on the hill beside our house Stood a great Christmas tree. It glowed with lighted candles, High at the top, a star, And 'round it, dancing in a ring, Children from lands afar. There were polite, little English girls, Swiss boys with funny skis, Dutch children in queer wooden shoes, Joined hands with shy Chinese. Turkish lads is tassled fez, Tots from France and Greece and Poland, Laughing as the children do In the safety of a free land. Perhaps my dream's a prophecy Of Christmases to be, When little children everywhere Can sing because they're free. I surely wish with all my heart, This day of Jesus' birth, That peace and love and happiness Soon cover all the earth. Dear Mom and Dad Of the favorite memories of our family, Mom and Dad , Christmas rekindles all the best we've ever had~ The wonderful traditions you taught us, And we kept from year to year Added to each Holiday To make it's meaning clear. Your warmth, smiles and laughter Kept us eager to believe In the magic and wonder That was part of Christmas Eve, And though Christmas Have come and gone, It seems that wishes did come true, In the lasting love our family shares Because of the caring by both of you. December The snow had fallen all night long Outside my window a cardinal sang his song December, December, beautiful December Skating and sledding when it is snowing It is very peaceful to hear the wind blowing December, December, beautiful December I was out all day and my cheeks were rosy I hurried inside and got warm and cozy The cocoa was yummy and very hot I wonder if I will go out tomorrow or not December, December, beautiful December. Baby's First Christmas Verses for children by Mary Lewis It's Baby's first Christmas, what a beautiful sight! As he gurgles out loud in spontaneous delight. As he gazes at the Tree, with it's baubles and trim I know only He can hear the Angels sweet hymns. Holy! Holy! Holy! As He edges ever nearer to the base of the Tree, Picks up tiny toys and shakes them with glee Mommy and Daddy have to laugh outright. It's Baby's first Christmas- what a wonderful Night! Holy! Holy! holy!
